The Weakest Link is a game show which originated on BBC Two and was presented by Anne Robinson. The show had nine contestants who would answer general knowledge questions, the correct answer would earn money towards the end however if they got the answer wrong they would loose whatever money had not been banked. The contestant could say "bank" before being asked the question which would bank all the money however it would also mean that the correct answers would be worth less.

At the end of the round the contestants would be asked which player they feel should be voted off which they will write on a board which they held up. Some will be asked by Anne as to why they have selected that person, often with some snide remark about that contestants own performance. The person with the most votes is voted off with Anne stating "You are the weakest link - goodbye" and them leaving the show.

The show became known fo being quite vicious at times with Anne's insults of the contestants about their perfomance, lifestyle or job. The show started out on BBC Two before later moving to Saturday evenings on BBC One where it was joined by celebrity versions where they would play for money for charity instead.

The show ended in 2012, it was ressurected in 2021 this time with Romesh Ranganathan as host.
